**About the team**
The Centre for Property Acquisition (CPA) is a centre of excellence, established to ensure a customer-focussed, best practice approach to property acquisition is undertaken consistently across all NSW Government Agencies which acquire property for public projects. Included in the Whole-of-Government remit of the CPA are improving the quality and consistency of property acquisition experiences; through improving the capability of Acquisition Authorities and staff; and through promotion of increased understanding and transparency around the acquisition process, including as a point of escalation for customers.
**The opportunity**
We have an exciting Permanent opportunity for a Policy and Strategy Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Policy and Strategy, Centre for Property Acquisition, you will be responsible for contributing to the governance of the policy and standards for property acquisition and supporting the continuous improvement and performance measurement of property acquisition activities.
**Key priorities/ deliverables**
This will involve:
- Coordinate the input from acquiring agencies and key stakeholder regarding new initiatives and changes to policy, legislation and process and develop a feedback mechanism, for review and knowledge capture.
- Support the implementation of best practice guidelines, tools and operational policies and procedures in relation to all property acquisition activities in agencies across the whole of NSW Government
- Support the monitoring of customer-focused KPIs to assist with reporting and assurance purposes
- Work with the Acquiring Agencies (AAs) and key stakeholders in the development and implementation of policies and programs to support achievement of key objectives
- Undertake essential training including Core Practitioner and other relevant key courses organized by Centre for Property Acquisition (CPA); and other relevant courses as part of ongoing role development
- Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.

**About you**
For this role, we are looking for a professional who models the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct and has the ability to communicate with and influence others effectively.
You will bring the following:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Understanding of policy / program development and evaluation.
- Well-developed analytical skills both qualitative and quantitative with the ability to gather information and present findings in a concise and meaningful way.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills to convey concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Experience working within the government sector is not essential.

**Salary and Benefits**
