**About the Opportunity**
As a Public Programs & Awards Assistant at the State Library of NSW, you will provide a mix of administrative and project support to manage and deliver public events held at the Library. You'll handle general enquiries, ticket bookings, awards queries, system maintenance, RSVP coordination, and financial reconciliations.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Public Programs & Awards and a skilled team of program and project professionals to support the planning and delivery of the Library’s public programs and awards. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure smooth coordination, effective communication, and timely execution of tasks. This includes working with colleagues in production, administration, and finance, as well as liaising with staff across the Library to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

You're a highly organised and detail-oriented team player with a passion for arts, culture, and community engagement. You thrive in dynamic environments, juggling multiple priorities with ease and professionalism. With strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, you're comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting the delivery of public programs and awards.
**You will also have**:
- Experience in providing logístical and administrative support in the coordination of events.
- Demonstrated skills in managing the documentation and administration of concurrent projects, from outset to completion.

**Talent Pool**
Applicants not initially offered a role but have been assessed through the recruitment process as being suitable will be placed in the Talent Pool to fill future vacancies as they arise. Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18 months.
