**Job Description**:
**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced Major Hazard Facility Manager, HSE in Laverton, VI. This is a critical role requiring you to manage the safety for one of our largest Major Hazardous facilities in Australia. Having renewed a 5 yr. license this year, your role will be to ensure adherence of the safety case, drive the proactive implementation and continual improvement of HSE culture, and support the warehouse and transport operations. This is a role that has site senior leadership collaboration as well as support from our overarching HSE function.
As the Major Hazard Facility Manager, HSE, you will:
- Provide technical support to the Process Safety Manager to ensure that the relevant Safety Case is adhered to.
- Engage with all key stakeholders in developing and managing Safety Case documentations to WorkSafe.
- Guiding the implementation of, monitoring and reporting on compliance against the safety case and ensuring the business is compliant.
- Provide oversight of MHF operations through liaising with operators and conducting MHF control performance review/ validation.
- Coordinate and facilitate risk assessment using Risk Analysis techniques and tools
- Maintain of Site HSE related procedures including the site Emergency Response
- Identifying and interpreting legal requirements and providing operational advice and guidance to manage risks and ensure compliance to relevant legislative requirements and Standards, including MHF, HSE and ADG.
**Qualifications**:
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Min 5 years in a safety role within an MHF site or D&G environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and management system standards (AS4801, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, etc).
- Dangerous Goods and Auditing qualifications/ training are desirable.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders including Regulators.
