This position is part of the APAC Applications & Training team and will be located in Sydney, Australia - Hybrid. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
- Integrate Cepheid instruments (including installation), assays and connectivity solutions into customer laboratories and provide support to the customer from installation, and implementation through verification and/or evaluation to customer go-live (patient reporting).
- Provide demonstration of Cepheid instrumentation, software and reagents to current and potential customers and proactively provide enhancements for the development and optimization of Cepheid assays, software and hardware.
- Jointly develop account strategies with Sales Representatives aimed at increasing Cepheid business and retaining current business.
- Conduct education/technical seminars and presentations at customer sites, trade shows and workshops to drive thought leader adoption of Cepheid technology.
- Follow the standard of work for documentation and customer complaint handling to ensure total customer satisfaction and ensure install and customer management database is updated with full activity traceability.
**The essential requirements of the job include**:
- Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist and proficient in molecular/IVD and microbiology techniques.
- Demonstrated excellent project management skills and customer relations/service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and works well both independently and team-orientated.
- Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook)
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
- Hands-on experience with Lab Automation Systems and with LIS/Connectivity
- Experience with CRM, SAP, SFDC or similar tools
