**What you'll do**

As Head of Medical ANZ, you will be responsible for the management of all medical functions of the Australia and New Zealand Affiliate (ANZ) and ensure full strategic, tactical and operational responsibility for the medical ANZ department. Reporting to the VP, Medical BIR and dotted line to the Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, you will lead a successful team of medical professionals by inspiring and motivating the team, in addition to being a positive change agent who proactively disseminates appropriate information to key stakeholders.

Key accountabilities in this role:

- Build and execute with the team the Medical strategy and Medical plans for the entire Biogen Portfolio and pipeline in Australia and New Zealand
- Developing and executing phase IV studies, registries and SRAs across therapeutic areas according to data gaps identified in ANZ. Find common themes and leverage synergies to maximize the research capabilities.
- Providing input and overseeing the Patient Support Program according to the patient needs
- Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key opinion leaders in Neuroscience, patients organization and academic stakeholders
- Leading scientific exchanges to support the evolution of the knowledge in neuroscience
- Representing Biogen at scientific events in ANZ

In the role of Head of Medical ANZ you will manage a team of 20-25 people (including 6 Direct Reports) and sit on the affiliate leadership team, guiding decision making on pan-affiliate matters such as affiliate strategy, policies, culture and training needs. In addition, this role sits on the Medical Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) leadership team.
