**About the opportunity**

Our Asset Planning and Support section are seeking 2 x Surveyor's Assistants to join our Survey team as seen below:

- 1 x permanent, full-time position
- 1 x temporary, full-time position for up to 12 months.

The role is primarily responsible for assisting engineers and surveyors in fieldwork, traffic counts, and other miscellaneous tasks.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- School certificate
- Some experience in this field
- Current class “C” driver’s licence.

**Desirable**:

- RTA Traffic Controllers Certificate
- Ability to read simple engineering plans and deposited plans
- Ability to do simple mathematics
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,222.32 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
