**About the role**

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs, this position works closely with members of the communications team, marketing and fundraising team and corporate and community engagement team. The primary purpose of this position is to support the communications team through the coordination of effective communications strategies and the production of content for THRF Group.

We are an inspired bunch of people and like a lot of our roles, mínimal occasional out of hours work may be required. Time off in Lieu is offered.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Coordinate and disseminate regular media monitoring and utilise this tool to help identify opportunities
- Provide communications support for the promotion and growth of community fundraising and partnerships of THRF Group
- Produce a variety of content for online and print communication platforms by liaising with and interviewing researchers, patients, fundraisers and donors
- Coordinate regular media opportunities for THRF Group
- Provide support for the development of THRF Group newsletters
- Coordinate photoshoots and support the Multimedia Content team with video opportunities

**About you**

To be successful in the role you will ideally have;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and strong copywriting abilities
- A strong understanding of Australian local and national media outlets and ability to identify proactive media opportunities and deliver outcomes
- An ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholder groups including, government and communication professionals, medical professionals (researchers, clinicians, nurses), patients and donors
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR or Journalism;
- And demonstrated experience in writing content preferably within an NFP or health-based environment
- An ability to think creatively, generate story ideas and gather information via interviews
- An ability to write content for a variety of platforms including hardcopy and online
- Can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn, improve and contribute
- An interest in the fundraising and/or health sector
