- Together, we are a
multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.- We currently have an opportunity for a Strategic Business Adviser in Canberra to work on Space projects **.**- **What You’ll Do**
- This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

- **Develop Strategic Asset Management Plan** : Create a comprehensive asset management plan for products under sustainment within the CJC06 Ground/Control and Space Segment, shifting focus from transactional product lists to system-level capability assurance.
- **Review and Enhance Performance Metrics** : Analyse existing metrics in the Product Schedule and Integrated Product Management Plan, and recommend strategic, outcome-focused performance measures aligned with capability objectives.
- **Conduct Life of Type (**
**LoT**
**) and Obsolescence Assessments** : Update the
LoT
assessment of the current asset base to support sustainment funding planning, while ensuring effective obsolescence management and potential life extension strategies.
- **Develop Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)** : Lead the development of a PBS for the Control Segment to identify support requirements and guide structured analysis and sustainment planning.
- **Strengthen Industry Partnerships** : Evaluate current contract arrangements and recommend opportunities to transition from fragmented Survey & Quote activities to more strategic, enduring partnerships with industry.**What You’ll Bring**
- **Strategic Asset Management Expertise** : Ability to develop system-level asset management plans that align with capability outcomes, beyond transactional product oversight.
- **Performance Metrics & Analytical Skills** : Skilled in reviewing and refining performance measures within Product Schedules and
IPdMPs
to reflect strategic objectives.
- **Stakeholder Engagement & Communication** : Proven capability in managing relationships across Defence stakeholders, aligned to CJC preparedness and sustainment goals.
- **Lifecycle & Obsolescence Planning** : Experience conducting Life of Type assessments and advising on obsolescence management and sustainment funding strategies.
- **Contractual & Industry Partnership Insight** : Ability to assess current contract structures and recommend strategic industry partnerships for enduring support.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum ** Negative Vetting 2** or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ** International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
