**INTRODUCTION TO IGNITE COMMUNITY NETWORK**
**Ignite Community Network** is passionate about supporting people with a disability (Individuals) to increase their independence, capacities and opportunities to live a full and active life. Ignite Community Network will work in partnership with Individuals, their families, mainstream providers and the disability sector to ensure an Individual’s services are innovative, flexible and person-centered.
**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The purpose of this role is to provide individualised high-quality supports and services which promotes the emotional, social and behavioural needs and goals of Individuals with a disability. Supports are provided within the individuals home or community. Ignite Community Network provides activities of daily living and/or assisting with mentoring, employment and civic participation.
**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
This role requires you to provide direct support to Individuals, in a person-centered way, to meet their needs and goals according to their own choices. Activities may include, but is not limited to:
- Support with independent living activities.
- Support with daily living skills such as food preparation and housekeeping.
- Support with personal care including eating, toileting and bathing.
- Administer medication or other medical procedures where required.
- Transferring/hoisting between the toilet, bed, motor vehicle etc.
- Providing support and assistance to promote good health and well-being.
- Promoting activities that offer meaningful experiences and increase social networks.
**OUR EXPECTATIONS**
- Every individual is different, and our role is to support the person to work toward goals that is important to them.
- You will need to be flexible and open to learning new things.
- You will need to be adaptable and understanding as plans can change suddenly and you will need to be willing to ‘go with the flow’.
**TRAINING**
- Ignite Community Network has a quality training program to assist you in your role. You will be required to complete compulsory training modules and will be provided with the opportunity to complete additional training modules as part of personal and professional development.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- An unrestricted current driver's license
- A safe, reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance to provide customer transport.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one.
- A working smart phone
- Be willing to work at least 20 hours per week.
**HOW TO APPLY**
- We will require that you complete a google form to understand your skills, abilities and work availability.
**We are looking to recruit people who are able to work in the metropolitan southern suburbs. Positions will be initally offered on a casual basis.**
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $32.00 - $44.08 per hour

Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
