**About the role**

We are looking for an External Communications Officer to assist in writing high-quality media communication strategies and activities across multiple NSW Health audiences. Reporting to the External Communications Manager you will see yourself implementing external and internal communication activities in line with the eHealth NSW brand guidelines and strategic business plan.

Our Communications Team is split into 4 Divisions - Clinical Audiences, Business Audiences, Consumer, Government, External Audiences and Internal Communications.

As an External Communications Officer, you will use your strategic and operational writing and communications expertise to influence various corporate-level audiences and will enjoy all the tools you need to succeed.
- Produce high-quality communication messages and materials for a variety of audiences and communication channels (including traditional and digital channels), ensuring compliance with eHealth NSW, NSW Health, and government policies and standards for branding, writing, and accessibility.
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management and share information with Communication Services managers and staff to keep abreast of business initiatives and priorities.
- Manage digital content and platforms as directed to support communication strategies and project deliverables.
- Work with the Digital Communications team to develop creative collateral for a range of audiences such as fact sheets, Electronic Direct Mail, display materials, newsletters, presentations and marketing activity.
- Contribute to the analysis, evaluation and reporting on communication campaign performance across all channels to determine effective future strategies and continuous improvement.
- Draft, develop and edit communications material that is concise, audience-focused and well-structured within tight timeframes.
- Participate in systems, policy and process improvement initiatives to improve team operations.

**About you**

The skills, knowledge, and experience we are looking for in you include:

- Proven experience in supporting the provision of communications advice and communications campaigns in a complex/diverse service industry organisation, including tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in contributing to communication strategies/plans and coordinating communication channels as part of a busy communications team
- Demonstrated experience producing a range of written, visual and broadcast communications resources across a range of traditional and digital communication channels.
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience communicating complex technical

messages in plain English.
- Demonstrated experience using a range of marketing technology systems including Electronic Direct Mail platforms as well as MS Office, MS Teams and MS SharePoint.
