The Sports Development Officer is a fulltime position responsible for the delivery of Futsal/Football development programs within the zone under the Brisbane Central Futsal (BCF). The successful applicant, in line with Brisbane Central Futsal Strategic Plan, will lead coach education, players development program, league or competition, club development and also will grow the sport through leading and supporting quality futsal/footballing experiences which help to instil a lifelong love of futsal/football.
The Sports Development Officer will be responsible for all futsal/football technical matters across the region, and he/she should be sufficiently capable, flexible and adaptable to cater for any unique needs and circumstance which may exist and arise in the futsal/football zone.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and retain participation within the BCF region via BCF incentives.
- Develop and implement players development program and pathway including scouting and talent identification
- To ensure that the BCF technical direction is embraced and followed by coaches and players within the community and talented player pathway in the respective Member Zone.
- Oversee the BCF coach education structure and deliver courses in line with the national curriculum whilst providing flexibility.
- Assist clubs to identify & recruit Club Coaching Co-Coordinators to support and mentor community coaches.
- Develop and implement school programs i.e during school, afterschool, holiday clinics etc in consultation with Zone.
- Identify, develop, and manage coach educators across the Zone.
- To promote futsal/football actively & positively in the community.
- Supervise BCF football/ futsal event include competition, league and others event within the scope of development
- Assist BCF to implement quality control procedures (Club Development Program compliance, technical study group membership to evaluate player performances) in accordance with the policies, principles, and practices of BCF)
- Manage the technical framework of the training and game programs. (Fire Fc, Fire Fc Academy,

Mini Roos, Disability Programs, Church Programs)
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all stakeholders, including but not limited to BCF, associations and clubs etc
- Establish a communication strategy with associations and clubs.
- To assist and develop clear player/coaching pathways and performance measures.

**Key Outcomes**
- Increase Participation of players and coaches within the Member Zones.
- Reduce churn rates by enabling a positive player experience through established coach support.
- Excellent co-operation on a technical level between all stakeholders and all community clubs, or organisations.
- To ensure a nationally consistent approach is taken to the development of players and coaches within each area,
- Increase community engagement & club/coach support.

**Key Performance Indicators**
- Number of Community organisations/schools etc visited each year.
- Number of coach education courses delivered including grassroots, community & advanced.
- Number of coaching workshops delivered.
- An increase to the number of coach educators within the area and per organisation.
- An increase in MiniRoos for boys/girls.
- An increase of MiniRoos club programs participants.
- An increase to the number of Club Coach Co-ordinators - Successful implementation of community and school programs
- High stakeholder satisfaction rates.

**Essential Knowledge, skills and behaviour required.**
- AFC Level 3 Coaching license or equivalent.
- Futsal/Football knowledge and playing/coaching experience. Minimum 3 Years
- Experience working in the area of community and talented player/coach development.
- Experience in the establishment and ongoing management of coach/athlete development programs
- Experience in competition management and have a good knowledge regarding football/ futsal event rules and regulation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in high performance athlete
- Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills with the ability to plan, coordinate and execute tasks and projects through to completion whilst meeting deadlines, balancing competing demands.
- Ability to work with limited direction to initiate procedures.
- Is adaptability, enthusiastic and motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Is able to engage young people,
- Can think strategically and encourages stakeholder collaboration.
- High level communication skills and particularly presentation skills
- Ability to mentor technical staff/coaches and provide leadership and direction.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in preparation and delivery of education and training programs
- Experience in working with volunteers.

**The TDM will require.**

An up-to-date Blue Card
- Current certificate in First Aid
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Experience with kids
- The right to work full time within Australia.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $78,000.00 per yea
