**Job Description**:
The Brisbane Times Sports Reporter role will be a key position, combining breaking news, analysis and feature-writing capability at the highest-level across our digital platforms.

Day to day you will:

- Deliver unique, high-quality coverage for the daily and weekly news cycle
- Attend live matches, press conferences and events as required
- React quickly to breaking news stories, including under deadline pressure
- Demonstrate excellent news judgement and knowledge of issues in the round and in the wider community
- Ensure all copy meets legal requirements, and the highest standard of accuracy, ethics and editorial quality
- Write an appropriate and agreed number of quality stories as commissioned to appropriate length and in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with other Nine sport journalists and producers
- Please note this role will require weekend work._

**Qualifications**:
What we would like to see on your resume:

- Demonstrated journalist experience (Sport writing is highly regarded)
- Genuine interest and knowledge in writing about sport
- An understanding of different ways of engaging our audiences, particularly in digital
- An abundance of ideas, energy and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Excellent writing skills
