**About the role**:
Exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute our Course Coordinator Animal Care
- RSPCA This opportunity is part time 3 days per week until December 2025.

Within this role, you will lead a team of education professionals to design, deliver, evaluate and continuously improve leading edge programs for their area. As the operational leader for the programs, you will optimise resourcing, and manage day to day operational effectiveness. You will also be providing ongoing professional development for the team, and proactively manage team and individual performance.

The Course Coordinator, RSPCA is a member of the Science and Animal Studies team within The Faculty of Health, Community, Disability and Animal Sciences. Together with the Director and Manager, the Course Coordinator manages delivery that is aligned with the overall BHI Strategy and Education Strategy. You will be responsible for student experience and outcomes of the area, including out of classroom student experience in conjunction with key stakeholders across BHI.

You will have the opportunity to support, coach and train Teachers to deliver an excellent student experience and provide necessary support in achieving student outcomes. Coordinators may teach as required.

The Faculty of Health, Disability, Community and Animal Sciences provides a wide range of teaching and learning programs at local and international campuses. The Faculty delivers nationally recognised training to over 3,000 students in courses ranging from Certificates to Diploma level qualifications. Disciplinary areas include nursing, aged care, community services, children’s services, animal sciences, veterinary nursing, Animal Facilities studies, and laboratory science.

**About You**
- A relevant degree or approved AQF Level 6 or above educational qualifications
- A vocational qualification relevant to the courses delive
- Highly developed educational leadership expertise plus extensive management and/or teaching skills
- Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a high performance team of teaching employees, managing performance, facilitating development and providing feedback and coaching improving productivity and performance
- Proven experience leading and managing teaching programs that comply with relevant quality standards with a strong understanding of competency based training and assessment.
- High level ability to solve problems, can anticipate potential problems and pre-empt actions, liaises with stakeholders analysing issues and proposing workable and positive solutions, implementing, and reviewing solution effectiveness
- Demonstrates high level awareness of and responsiveness to people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts, is able to shape responses for people, and see issues from the perspective of others
- Able to prioritise and motivate others to deliver agreed results
- An authentic leader that effectively communicates with and adapts to team and stakeholder needs
