A leading professional services firm renowned with a solid history of providing top-tier auditing and accounting services are seeking an experienced External Auditor / Accountant to serve as the Assistant Manager / Supervisor of their Melbourne team.
The role:
- Formulating the audit plan, which involves engaging in discussions with clients, directors, and managers.
- In charge of optimizing workflow for projects to meet budgetary goals by overseeing the team and offering guidance, training, and support to junior members.
- Collaborate in creating systems and processes to guarantee that all tasks are executed to the utmost professional standard and in compliance with the established policies and procedures.
- Discuss assignment-related matters with manager/partner and communicate with the client about these issues.
- Recognizing potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates.
You must have:
- Proven track record as an External Auditor, demonstrating expertise in auditing financial statements and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or similar and CA / CPA Qualified (or studying)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, Caseware experience is an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A professional demeanour in liaising with clients and colleagues
- Consistently deliver exceptional client service
- Have work rights, Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia
