**Who is VAGO?**:
The Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) is a critical part of Victoria’s integrity system. Independent to Parliament, VAGO ensures the accountability of the State Government through audits and assurance reviews of public sector agencies.

As a member of the highly collaborative project team, your focus will be to work with the Instructional Designer, Audit Quality team and Financial Audit Stakeholders leveraging your expertise to support the development of learning initiatives.

**What's the role?**:
This role is specific to our development and delivery of audit specific learning content of the financial audit curriculum.
You will be responsible for:
**_ Learning and Development: _**Create or source of adult learning materials, including preparation of scripts for development of e-learning content by our instructional designer. Ensure content is accurate, relevant and engaging.
**_ Professional Development:_**_ _Maintaining your knowledge of industry trends, developments, emerging technologies relevant to the audit learning and development.
**_ Relationships: _**Develop and maintain strong and constructive relationships with:
- the learning and development project team
- the project sponsor and project owner
- the financial audit division.
**_Management:_**_ _Proactive management of the delivery of assigned learning and development modules and associated tasks to achieve project priorities and milestones.
**_ Behaviour:_**_ _Promote and model the established VAGO values set, with emphasis on role modelling leadership behaviours and meeting our ethical requirements.
**_ Compliance:_**_ _Meet corporate governance requirements by ensuring work is delivered in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.
**_ Experience: _**Experience as a financial audit manager is required. Experience in developing and delivering effective training programs is desirable.
**Who we're looking for**:
This is a two-year fixed term opportunity that would suit an experienced Senior Audit Manager who has ideally, but not essential, worked with learning and project team in the past. Key to your success will be your ability to;
- Simplify technical information, communicating it to Instructional Designers, Project team and other stakeholders
- Take a learner-centric approach to deeply understand the diverse range of your target audiences and effectively communicate these to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify training gaps, tailor solutions and adjust as required.
- Be innovative and proactively drive change and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement in responding to/escalating issues.
**Previous Experience**:
- Proven working experience in Audit (preferably public sector)
- Excellent knowledge of Audit processes
- An understanding of development and curriculum planning.
- CAANZ/CPA Qualification
- Previous project management experience.
