APG is currently seeking an experienced Category Specialist for a contract within a Government Sector based in Sydney.
- Location: Sydney
- Start Date: ASAP
- $60 per hour excluding Super
- 40 hrs per week

**Primary purpose of the role**
The role provides specialist activities to category streams within a major project of work in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a series of streams of work with the broader portfolios to achieve outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

**Key accountabilities**
- Demonstrate the Transport Connected Leadership dimensions by role modelling collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate our diverse workforce, create an environment where people can create and thrive, and support our people’s wellbeing
- Provide category management, coordination, and support across a range of Branch initiatives to deliver outputs that are on time, within budget and meet quality requirements.
- Undertake research and provide informed recommendations to support the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of projects and initiatives.
- Develop and utilize a range of category portfolio tools and documents, including proposals, plans, briefs, and reports, to support effective project planning and delivery.
- Monitor and report on key aspects of progress, including risk management, contingency planning, and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project effectiveness, and achieve defined outcomes.
- Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate a range of communication activities including briefings, workshops, and presentations to build awareness and promote project outputs.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Demonstrated well developed stakeholder management skills and experience managing alliances across the organisation.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
