**Job Description**:

The Student Recruitment Officer (schools) position will work within a dynamic team of professionals to drive undergraduate student recruitment and promote the University by providing information on programs, pathways and admissions policies and procedures to potential students.
Fundamental to this role is the development and maintenance of strategic relationships both internal to the University and with key influential external stakeholders comprised of Student Advisers, Guidance Officers, VET Pathway Officers TAFE and industry contacts who are the key conduit to reaching and converting prospective students.
Some outside of normal hours, weekend work and travel will be associated with this position.
- This is a continuing appointment based at the Nathan campus._
**Duties**
- Develop, maintain and enhance relationships with key influential stakeholders within QLD, NSW and regional educational institutions and workplaces to drive recruitment and engagement activities and outcomes in alignment with the student recruitment strategy.
- Represent the University through school visits, showcases and careers events at educational institutions, workplaces and public expos mainly in QLD and NSW, to address prospective students, promote the University and provide information on programs, admissions policies and procedures.
- Coordination and planning of promotional activities such as campus visits and assist with student recruitment events targeted at prospective students.
- Provide high level, quality representation within educational institution or industry-based events (on or off campus) to deliver a positive association with Griffith University.
- Assist in the management of Student Ambassadors as various events and visits.
**Skills & Experience**
- A degree in marketing, public relations or communications, and subsequent relevant work experience in sales or account management or an equivalent combination of education and/or training
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate with, make presentations to and liaise with internal and external clients from a diverse range of backgrounds
- Demonstrated experience with lead generation and client management in a sales environment
- Demonstrated written & verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients and in the development of post activity reporting
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, the higher education sector, pathways and admission procedures for tertiary education and Griffith University programs
- Demonstrated organisational and/or project management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, data collation, analysis and reporting, work on several projects concurrently, work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
**Qualifications**:
The occupant of this position will hold a degree in marketing, public relations or communications and subsequent relevant work experience in sales or account management or an equivalent combination of education and/or training.
Additional Information
**Salary range**
HEW Level $81,226 - $86,640 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $95034 - $101368 per annum.
The successful applicant will need to be eligible or hold a QLD Working with Children Blue Card and hold a QLD Open Driver’s License.
