**Job Description**:
The Student Representative Council (SRC) provides activities, events and services that contribute to a vibrant campus culture and support students to have an active voice in their University experience.
As a Welfare Officer provide services to undergraduate students at Griffith University’s Brisbane and Logan campuses. Your focus is to provide professional and timely support to students experiencing financial and/or housing insecurity. You will contribute to the conceptualisation and delivery of a suite of events and programs focused on student welfare including budgeting, tenancy rights, workplace rights and more.
Success in this role requires collaboration and consultation with students to ensure a service model that is student-centred and student-led.
- This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. _
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $81,226 - $86,640 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $95,034 - $101,368 per annum.

About You_**
- A tertiary qualified and passionate social work or human services professional.
- Experience with supporting clients in financial distress and/or facing homelessness.
- Experience in community development or developing creative solutions to systemic challenges.
- You have evidence of a passion for building effective relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
- Attention for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities within specific timeframes.
