We’re looking for a professional and experienced Bookkeeper / HR Co-ordinator
**About Us**
Soundfirm is one of Australia’s most prestigious post-production companies, operating award-winning facilities in Melbourne, Sydney and Beijing. For nearly 40 years, we’ve been providing sound and picture services for local and international films, all the while staying at the forefront of the latest industry developments.
This is a permanent part time position, to start immediately or as soon as possible. The role requires 3 days per week including Friday (payroll) however flexible hours and days can be considered.
The role requires a flexible outlook and curiosity to drive learning and growth.
There is a need to self-manage, be proactive and comfortable with changing priorities.
The rewards will come from being part of a professional and creative business in a creative industry and casual work environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Recording financial transactions in the General Ledger
- Posting debits and credits
- Producing invoices
- Managing fortnightly payroll and Creditors across Syd / Melb
- Managing monthly, payroll tax and Superannuation
- Bank reconciliation
- Maintaining and balancing ledgers, accounts, and subsidiaries
- HR Co-ordination to maintain a HR System of Record
- Overseas Currency Payments and Exchange Rate Variances
- Petty Cash reconciliation
- Maintain documentation of our systems and processes.
Requirements include:
- Proficient in Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping
- Experience in the financial day to day behaviour of a small-medium business.
- Respect the need for discretion along with an understanding of the privacy act when dealing with confidential employee information.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Able to interface with talent, clients and vendors and work closely with our production team to track project related budgets.
- A team player, prepared to share knowledge and guide team members on finance related processes.
