**The opportunity**
**Youth justice custodial facilities are hives of activity. There is a near-constant stream of staff, young people, contractors, educators, program providers, and personal visitors passing through the precinct every day.
As a scheduling coordinator at Cherry Creek, you will help provide predictability and consistency for young people by planning their daily timetables. You will ensure that their schedule of appointments is aligned with an established set of priorities, including a focus on their educational needs.
If done well, your work will help create a safe, secure and peaceful environment that will allow the young people in our care to get the most out of their education and rehabilitative programs.
You will also:
- Manage competing demands effectively, ensuring that each young person's timetable reflects their individual case plans.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and clear verbal and written communication to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Have a sound understanding of various requirements and appointments for young people.
**To be successful in the role, you should possess an understanding of the complexities of the youth justice environment. You will also be a clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively and solving problems.**
