In this role you play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission of enhancing flood resilience. Your primary responsibilities involve assessing project cost-effectiveness, conducting comprehensive home assessments, and fostering effective communication with homeowners and contractors. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, active participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and a commitment to building positive relationships with homeowners.

**Key Responsibilities**

Project Cost-Effectiveness:

- Assess and analyze the cost-effectiveness of flood resilience projects, emphasizing quality.
- Conduct Value for Money (VFM) assessments using RHF tools and systems, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Identify areas for improvement in flood resilience and recommend strategies to enhance home resilience.

Home Assessments:

- Conduct thorough assessments of homes to evaluate flood impact and resilient outcomes.
- Utilize technical expertise to interpret plans and resilient building strategies.
- Educate homeowners on flood risk, resilient building design, materials, and technical aspects related to flood resilience.

Communication:

- Effectively communicate with homeowners and licensed contractors, building awareness and understanding of flood resilience.
- Address homeowner inquiries and concerns professionally, fostering positive relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing knowledge and participating in training.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather insights and promote best practices.
- Support leadership in mentoring and guiding the team for excellence in performance.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with program stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of products and services.

Working Conditions:

- Engage in a combination of office-based and remote work.
- Conduct on-site assessments at people's homes.
- Travel may be required for training or stakeholder engagement.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the building industry, preferably in a trade-based role or design/engineering/Quantity Surveying/Estimating.
- Experience in property assessments, estimating, or related fields with a focus on price, quantities, materials, and scope.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret plans and resilient building strategies.
