**About the Program**

Western Sydney Recovery College (WSRC) is an innovative approach to inclusive education and recovery within the community and mental health sector. Our mission is to educate and inspire the broader community about mental health, to facilitate recovery, and to empower students to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment.

All Recovery College programs are co-designed and co-delivered by specialist educators and peer educators with lived experience of mental health.

**About the Role**

The Peer Educator co-develops and co-designs workshops with a Professional Educator to deliver to a range of participants across the Western Sydney Region. The aim of the workshops is to increase the knowledge, values and skills in relation to recovery models and practices.

**Your skills and experience**
- Certificate IV in Training and Education or equivalent or working towards
- Certificate IV in Peer Work (Mental Health) or other relevant qualification
- Lived/living experience of mental health illness
- Demonstrated experience in delivering training to a wide range of participants
- Demonstrated high level of written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to self-improvement and development.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- A thorough understanding of mental health recovery philosophy, personal experience of recovery and ability to utilize this experience in providing training and education
- Ability and commitment to working in collaboration including with professional trainer’s

**Additional Details**

One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
