**About the Program**

Western Sydney Recovery College (WSRC) is an innovative approach to inclusive education and recovery within the community and mental health sector. Our mission is to educate and inspire the broader community about mental health, to facilitate recovery, and to empower students to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment.

All Recovery College programs are co-designed and co-delivered by specialist educators and peer educators with lived experience of mental health.

**About the Role**

The Professional educator co-develops and co-designs workshops with a Peer Educator for a range of students across the Western Sydney Region. The aim of the training is to increase knowledge, values and skills in relation to Recovery modalities and Practice.

**Your skills and experience**

**Essential**
- Professional qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. mental health, peer work, disability) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in mental health services, mentally ill health and mental wellbeing training, clinical practice, non-clinical professional service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in development of education material and the delivering training to a wide range of participants

**Desirable**
- A thorough understanding of mental health recovery philosophy, personal experience of recovery and ability to utilize this experience in providing training and education
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within mínimal supervision, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively in all interactions with all stakeholders

**Additional Details**

One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
