Clinical Case Manager

IPA have a long-standing history of providing staff to Federal Government Agencies and are currently partnering with our client to recruit Senior Clinical Case Managers in Brisbane.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of high quality, trauma informed case management. You will manager a portfolio of complex clients, as well as providing advice and support to Complex Case Managers.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide an escalation point for clients presenting with at risk behaviour
- Provide support and guidance to Case Managers in their case management and staff specialising in challenging behaviour
- Manage a limited caseload of highly complex clients
- Contribute to the preparation of high level client summaries and briefs
- Undertake a range of client assessments, including intake and risk assessments
- Undertake complex case reviews with Case Managers across the branch
- Provide Reflective Practice Supervision to clinical and non clinical Case Managers and intensive coaching regarding targeted areas of practice
- Leading clinical governance and quality improvement activities
- Contribute to the development, review and ongoing use of policies, procedures and practice tools, including training and education processes
Mandatory requirements for this position:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Case Manager or equivalent Senior Clinical role
- Extensive experience working within a mental health or community case management setting, including working with people who present with complex mental health conditions
- Experience in coordinating a caseload of complex and at-risk clients
- Experience in triage, assessment and case management via telephone
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor a team in of clinicians
The successful applicants for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have a current Police Check, or the ability to pass one.
** Applicants who have experience working with military or veteran mental health services, or supporting clients experiencing the impacts of substance abuse, mood and anxiety disorders (including PTSD) will be highly regarded. **
This position is full time, Monday to Friday. Initial contract term is 12 months, with a view to extend up to 36 months thereafter.
