We have an exciting opportunity for a Case Manager to join our Member Cases and Claims team based in Brisbane.
As a Case Manager you will manage a case load of files and will use your expert knowledge and judgment to formulate strategies to be able to advise and guide our members on relevant processes, making sure that excellent member service is provided.
You will be responsible for managing the initial contact for member queries, either by handling the request personally or assessing the claim. You will manage your own caseload of complaints, advice, report, and reimbursement cases and be responsible for selecting and explaining the best solutions to solve any member query, always ensuring a world class advisory service to members.
This is a hybrid role with a blend of home and office-based working. The working days for this role are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, total of 22.5 hours per week. You would be required to travel to our office in Brisbane once a week.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Build key relationships with internal and external as necessary, liaising on cases to enhance quality service and outcomes for members
- Using the most appropriate channel of communications, keep members regularly informed ensuring the advice and support reflects policy, relevant codes of practice, is technically accurate and with outcomes delivered in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Proactively manage advice calls and assigned case files and work effectively to deliver within agreed SLAs ensuring maximum efficiency is achieved whilst providing an excellent service to the member.
- As required answer the phone to assist our members with claims, which could vary from being simple disagreements to more complex, serious claims.
- You will support our Dentolegal consultants
- Reviewing our clinical systems
- Take part in presenting and create podcasts
- Contribute toward publications and articles
- Support Case Handling projects/initiatives ensuring delivery of projects to time, cost and quality and that can demonstrate a return on investment.
- Experience in healthcare or legal background
- Someone who has experience in helping, supporting, and advising people.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in similar field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy and manage difficult conversations
- AHPRA registered/OPH registered
- Management of complex and challenging situations
