About the role
The purpose of this position is to deliver high level clinical mental health services in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation for adults with severe and complex mental health needs within a community mental health setting.
About you
- Provide direct clinical services including assessment, planning and delivery within the context of a multidisciplinary environment, maintaining an awareness of community and organisational objectives. These services include the use of core discipline assessment skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, treatment planning and case management skills.
- Maintain a high level of communication with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, and carers and actively participating in multidisciplinary committees as directed by the Team Leader &/or Clinical Leaders.
- Demonstrate willingness to improve clinical experience through engagement in continuing professional development training and formal qualifications.
- Provide clinical practice supervision and mentoring to less experienced staff (where applicable) and contribute to student supervision within the specialised area of community mental health service delivery.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality service improvement activities consistent with organisational planning that enhance the delivery of discipline specific and multidisciplinary services within the local service area.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and other relevant legislations.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
