**Job Summary**

Material World are looking for a Sales Consultant (fabric and window furnishings) for our Chatswood showroom to start ASAP. The position is casual and will include hours from Monday to Saturday with a preference for full day shifts from 9.30am-5pm (9.30am-4pm Saturdays). Typically 2-4 shifts per week but this will vary at times as other staff are on holidays so some flexibility is well regarded.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

This is a varied role with many different aspects to it including:

- Receiving and checking of fabrics to go to our workrooms
- Receiving and checking of finished goods back from the workrooms
- Assisting customers with inquiries in store including fabric selection and booking of appointments with our decorators
- General administration duties (basic computer skills are a must)
- Styling and updating of displays in store and maintaining general store presentation.
- Some heavy lifting is required with some of the larger fabric rolls from time to time, and the applicant must be able to climb a standard ladder and get tracking and blinds down for installation.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Sales experience is beneficial along with general fabric or sewing knowledge being required (even if just on a hobby basis) although no actual sewing work is required in this position. Training will be provided.

**Benefits**

The position is paid 5% above the award rate in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award - Level 1 and currently for a casual position this makes it $32.45 Monday
- Friday or $38.95 on Saturdays. We do not trade late on Thursdays and are not open on Sundays or public holidays.

You will receive a staff discount on purchases in the store.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 14-21 per week

**Salary**: $32.45 per hour
