**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement operations and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and strategies.
- Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the sourcing and procurement process.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet corporate goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into procurement initiatives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to optimize sourcing of goods and services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to safeguard company interests.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commerce, Law or a related field.
- Proven experience in contracts and procurement management within the energy or oil & gas industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of driving performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Australia’s resources industry, and large-scale construction projects within the sector.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment, market dynamics, and specific challenges related to contracts and procurement in this sector.
- CIPS, CPSM and/or IACCM highly desirable.
