**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Communication & Corporate Affairs to join our passionate SPC Global corporate team at Essendon Fields. Reporting to the Group Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer the Head of Communication & Corporate Affairs will lead the development and execution of the company’s communication strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing the company’s brand reputation. This role involves managing both internal and external communications, overseeing public relations activities, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align communication initiatives with business priorities.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with media, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Act as the company’s spokesperson when necessary.
- Monitor media coverage and public perception, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Working with the General Counsel, oversee corporate affairs activities, including government relations, regulatory affairs, and community engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government officials, regulatory bodies, and community leaders.
- Ensure the company’s interests are represented in policy discussions and regulatory developments.
- Coordinate corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and ensure alignment with the company’s values and objectives.
- Develop and manage internal communication programs to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
- Oversee the creation of internal newsletters, announcements, and other communication materials.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align communication efforts with marketing campaigns.
- Crisis Communication and Incident Management.
- Prepare and manage ASX announcements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Draft and manage communications related to transformation and strategic projects, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand key milestones and deliverables and communicate these effectively.
- Lead and mentor the communication team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Optimise organisational structure ensuring clear operational accountabilities are in place and configured to optimise alignment with key stakeholders and successful delivery of business plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
