This is a great opportunity to work for an iconic Queensland Organisation and to be a part of the team that is transforming its technology services to provide better value and service to its customers and members.

They are seeking to engage an ICT Resourcing Specialist to lead the planning and allocation of Technology resources across the Technology portfolio of initiatives.

This person will lead the Solution Delivery Leads, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, and other domain specialists to balance resource commitments across the Technology project delivery portfolio. The role is also involved with identifying and developing the practices and systems to enable this capability The role actively contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving Technology project delivery.

It is an initial 3 month contract based at Eight Mile Plans on the southside of Brisbane and will offer work from from home opportunity with one day a fortnight in the office. There is a high likelihood this role could go to permanent at the end of 3 months.

This role would be well suited to an IT Program Coordinator looking for a new opportunity and potential for a permanent role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with resource managers to provide transparency of resource allocation and facilitate allocation of technical resources against demands in accordance with their skillsets, previous experience, and availability
- Define and maintain a resource pool register regarding availability and skills and ensure regular updates for relevancy
- Facilitate capacity planning with the resource managers, i.e., making sure that technology resources have capacity to work on upcoming projects
- Refine resource allocation models to ensure a balanced portfolio against BAU, current and future demands
- Develop and maintain a resource plan with the identification of middle
- to long-term resource demand forecasts
- Review the resource plan and identify availability issues
- Ensure resource requirements are fully understood and an accurate reflection on what is required, to ensure correct utilisation of resources
- Work with delivery teams resource managers to identify the need for external IT resources
- Develop proposals to address shortfalls, conflicts, and skill gaps, working with the Manager Technology Portfolio
- Overcome resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc; informing senior management of any issues related to inability to meet portfolio needs due to resourcing
- Develop and operate a repository of historical projects and build models that allow the efficient and accurate estimation of resources for projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Graduate qualifications in information technology or other qualifications or demonstrated relevant industry experience
- Formal study preferably in project management, Agile, or software development (e.g. PRINCE2 Agile, Scrum, SDLC)
- Formal study preferably in resource management, portfolio management, or capacity/demand management

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge of Excel and SharePoint
- Knowledge of ICT resourcing and estimation techniques
- Previous experience planning and co-ordinating technology resources balanced against operational needs
- Ability to present ideas both verbally and in written form
