**Electrical Engineering Technician**

At Chadwick Forklifts Pty Ltd, we have over 30 years’ experience in forklift wholesale rental, service and logistics. We specialise in standard and special project hire. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at our Sunshine, Victoria, location in a full-time position. In this position, you will leverage technical knowledge to assist in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing our fleet of electrical forklifts and equipment to suit client needs.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Gather performance and diagnostic data from forklifts and electronic equipment to evaluate functionality and identify areas requiring improvement or repair.
- Analyse data collected from equipment tests to detect trends, faults and inefficiencies in electronic systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical systems, including motors, controllers, sensors, and other electrical components.
- Test individual electronical components, such as batteries, circuit boards, and sensors to ensure they meet industry standards for performance and safety.
- Conduct functional tests on forklift units and related electronic systems, ensuring they perform optimally in operational conditions.
- Assemble and wire electronic components and controllers.
- Calibrate equipment such as load sensors, weight scales, and positioning systems to ensure accurate and reliable measurements during forklift operation.
- Fine-tune settings and parameters of electronic devices to optimize performance and extend the operational life of forklifts.
- Record detailed results from testing, maintenance, and repair processes to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Keep a thorough log of data analysis, including trends in performance and recurring issues.
- Track the inventory of electronic components, parts, and tools necessary for maintaining forklifts, and ensures that adequate supplies are available.
- Offer technical assistance to service teams and forklift operators regarding troubleshooting and basic maintenance of electronic systems and educate staff on the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policy and procedures at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.

**Benefits**:

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
