**About the role**
The Patient Flow Unit team is integral to achieving whole of hospital flow, providing centralised coordination and allocation of patients to the appropriate bed both internal and external.
The Patient Flow Unit Team manage the daily fluctuations in demand and capacity management, delivering a service 24hrs/7 day a week to achieve right care at the right time and in the right place. The Patient Flow Unit Team report to the Manager of Access and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Grampians Health and the Grampians Region.
This position is primarily to cover a long-standing Night Duty EFT vacancy with opportunities to rotate to the day/weekend Bed Manager role.
**Key Responsibilities**
The key responsibilities of the position are to work toward achieving right care right place and right time for all patients and to assume delegated responsibility for the Ballarat Base campus after hours
**Skills and experience**
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of whole of hospital flow and effective leadership skills including highly developed communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are essential to this position
