Metal Fabricator - Bayswater North

- Full time position $30-$40/hour, based on experience & qualifications

Position: Permanent Full Time with an initial three-month trial period.

Shift Availability: Monday to Friday

**Skills and Experience**

To be successful for this role, you will have the following skills, qualifications & experience:

- At least 2 years’ experience as a metal fabricator or similar role
- Welding or engineering Qualifications (preferably welding tickets 1-9 to AS1796)
- Proficient MIG & TIG welding/fabrication skills & ability
- Experience welding stainless steel & aluminium highly advantageous
- Excellent time management skills
- Good work ethic
- Be physically fit and well
- Current Forklift License an advantage but not a necessity
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural & shop drawings/plans and specifications
- Experience with steel preparation & processing
- Ability to utilise hand tools & machines, including for cutting, shaping, bending, joining & grinding
- Ability to follow instructions and accurately and safely complete tasks assigned
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
- Great attention to detail and the ability to fabricate within +/- 5mm tolerance
- Perform quality checks on completed products
- Great Health and Safety awareness and compliance

You will also be required to maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard and keep workstations clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment as well as monitor and report on any potential hazards.
