Sheetmetal Worker

As an experienced worker in Sheetmetal, are you looking for a new place to work? Can you

read drawings and press to specs? Do you want to have a workspace that is clean, with well

serviced machines and a team that works well together?

This company has been around for over 10 years in the Perth market, has some of the

newest machines, and the company keeps growing. Currently operating 5 pressing

machines. Ideally looking for someone who can press bespoke pressing jobs, a person who

has the ability to bend and shape different types of metal.

To be able to complete the bespoke forming and bending, you will need to be able to read

drawings and determine the right machines to complete the work. Also you must be able to

clearly mark out the material to ensure pressing, bending and rolling points are in the correct

position.

Required duties are outlined below but not limited to:

- studying blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications to determine what,

material and equipment is required to produce quality products.
- Pick the right material grade (S/S, aluminium etc) and thickness for the required

task.
- marking material out where required with datum points and lines, using the

measuring equipment or templates as required.
- cutting material to required shape along marked lines using hand and power shears,

and plasma cutters, guillotines, or drills.
- shaping and forming of cut parts into the required shapes using folding and bending

machines, rollers, presses a to drawing specifications and tolerances.
- Fabrication & assembling components into final products recording datum

measurements welding, riveting, soldering, or brazing where required.
- Dressing back products by polishing, filing, sanding, cleaning and assembled

products.
- Where required repair damaged Sheetmetal products and components.
- Additional skills - Aircraft or defence industry experience which may require but not

limited to advanced drawing and calculating skills.
- All additional skills require to meet the role of Sheetmetal worker.
