**TRADE ASSISTANT - METALS FABRICATION**

Assembly & Process Work

Full time

Located in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs.

Ozchutes is an Australian Manufacture of Waste chutes, Linen chutes and waste carousel compactor systems.

Ozchutes currently seeking a Qualified tradesperson or trades assistant.

Duties will include:
Basic sheet metal fabrication experience.

General factory duties.

Accurately and confidentially cut, grind, drill and fabricate components by hand forming and using prototype tools.

To be good with your hands and have strong problem solving skills.

Using basic hand tools and including Panbreak Folder, guillotine, drill press, hydraulic press and assist with the laser cutting,

Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area.

Work as part of a team

Welding experience favourable but not essential

To succeed in this role you must be:
Ability to read CAD Drawings

Capable in cutting metal, grinding, drilling and various hand/power tools and machine shop equipment

Competent to work with partial supervision and can work independently,

Be safety conscious.

Motivated with good problem solving skills.

Have a car licence (drive manual favourable )

To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights

**Salary**: $59,280.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bayswater, VIC 3153: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
