**Your day as an Economist**

The Macroeconomic Analysis, Research and Strategy (MARS) & Structural Analysis and Modelling (SAM) teams are recruiting for an Economist.

Your typical day-to-day work will include supporting the delivery of high-quality analysis, research and modelling to support government decision making and policy development. Your core role will include building and maintaining macroeconomic and fiscal models, data analysis and reporting, and conducting research into areas of interest pertaining to the economy, especially in relation to key priority areas for Government.

Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.

You will be joining our Economic Strategy and Productivity Group and will be working within the Macroeconomy Division. Read more about your future Group and Division.
