**About Wellness and Supportive Care**

The integrated model of multidisciplinary care within Cancer Services relies on a dynamic, appropriately qualified and skilled team to support patients undergoing care in both the Inpatient and Ambulatory settings, with a key focus on Integrated Wellness and Supportive Care.

**About the role**

The Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist will provide exercise physiology interventions to oncology outpatients by conducting individual assessments, supervising group-based exercise interventions, and assisting with the Wellness and Supportive Care Program.
- A regular day will see you:

- Being part of multi-disciplinary team, liaison work, attending relevant team meetings
- Provide clinical assessments and devise treatment interventions for cancer outpatients in both individual and group sessions.
- Receiving referrals for individual outpatients and providing appropriate evidence-based treatment
- Liaising with Wellness and Supportive Care staff on patient management, program development and delivery
- Developing and delivering exercise-oriented programs
- Contribute to regular departmental meetings and other meetings as required.
- Maintain some involvement in quality, policy, and planning activities.
- Engage in the evaluation of programs and service provision.

- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology and current accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- A recent graduate or at least six months of work/clinical experience as an Exercise scientist or Exercise Physiologist.
- Interest in Oncology and/or exercise prescription for individuals with chronic disease.
- Interest in professional development and ongoing clinical supervision
- Team player and ability to work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health staff.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients & other health professionals.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an inter-professional team environment.
- Demonstrated high level of organizational and excellent time management skills.
