**THE ROLE**

This contract with see you managing the collection of outstanding debts from important clients and customers.

You will liaise predominately with customers regarding their overdue bills and attempt to collect payments to mitigate company losses.

You like to take charge, use your initiative and work independently within a team. You are an expert at reading the caller, gauging the customers' responses, and using your empathy to know when to push and when to pull back and create timelines.

You have brilliant liaising skills, and enjoy the art of negation and communication, while ensuring all conversations are documented on the in-house database for future reference.

Your contract will entail;
- Answering inbound and outbound calls.
- Advising on repayment plans to suit the level of debt and customer circumstances.
- Working to company policy and procedures
- Escalating calls to managers when required.
- Adhering to legislative guidelines and the Privacy Act.
- Entering data and maintaining accurate records.
- Facilitating advanced collections activities, such as sending letters of demand and reminder messages.
- Referring customers to independent financial advisors.
- Improve operational processes.
- Work to key performance indicators.
- Initiate escalated collections actions
