Deputy Head of National Sales is a critical role, where your focus will be bringing together the right products and solutions to meet our clients’ needs. As a senior member of the GTRF leadership team, you will interface with colleagues in Global Banking and Commercial Banking to originate “New to Trade” deals leveraging global, regional and local initiatives to drive a sales strategy supporting large and mid -size domestic corporates as well as multinational clients. You will interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and lead discussions across products and geographies.
**_Responsibilities:_**
- Support National Head of Sales in delivering aspirational growth targets by executing large and complex deals nationally, aligning key stakeholders and sector leads in commercial and global banking.
- Develop National Sales strategy considering market / industry gaps, key strengths in products and services and coverage growth sectors.
- Lead originations efforts working closely with origination leads in Commercial and Global banking to increase trade product penetration across all segments of clients - MME, Large Corporates, Multinationals, Financial Institutions, Commodities and Commercial Real Estate.
- Liaise with global and regional teams to drive local initiatives/working groups around Structured Trade, Sustainability, and other growth drivers working closely with BDMs.
- Drive Sales culture and time to market including deal identification through execution to deliver of national growth agenda specifically for structured trade (Receivables Finance, Asset Based Lending, Supply Chain Finance).
- Staying abreast on key market trends and competitors’ market position on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
**_Requirements:_**
- Proven ability to lead Sales and track record of growing trade portfolios across multiple sectors.
- Must have energy, drive, urgency, vision, political acumen, stakeholder influencing and calculated risk taking.
- Track record in running high performance sales teams influencing through direct reports as well as virtual reporting lines.
- Knowledge of Trade Finance structures at a global level having experience in global multinational financial departments, supply chain, pre export finance, and or commodity finance.
- Thorough understanding of Working Capital management.
- Ability to transmit knowledge to the team for potential cross sell with other Treasury and asset based lending enhancing propositions.
- Very strong financial and analytical skills with very good problem analysis proactively presenting solutions.
- Good knowledge of Receivables Finance, Asset Based Lending, Supply Chain and Open Account propositions and business models
- Proven ability to navigate and implement inside a cross functional and matrix organizational model.
- Strong independent contributor, who is comfortable working on multiple assignments, where the teams are often culturally diverse, distributed across the globe.
