**Position Overview**:As a Disability Support Worker at TDAC, you'll play a vital role in making a positive impact in the lives of our participants. You'll be part of a dynamic team, fostering a sense of belonging and providing tailored support to individuals with disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with activities, promoting independence, and creating memorable experiences that empower our participants to embrace life to the fullest.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Participant Support**: Provide one-on-one or group support to participants during various activities and outings.
- **Promote Independence**: Encourage and assist participants in developing essential life skills and fostering independence.
- **Facilitate Social Interactions**: Create a supportive environment for building friendships and a sense of community.
- **Safety and Care**: Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times, including personal care assistance when necessary.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the team to provide the best possible support.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay up-to-date with best practices in disability support and engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- **Flexibility**: Adapt to the diverse needs and preferences of participants, making each experience enjoyable and meaningful.

**Qualifications**:

- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

**Experience**:

- support work/ Industry: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
