**The Role**

IDS Support Workers are responsible for supporting clients in their own homes with their day to day living to ensure that they have every opportunity to live a meaningful & fulfilling life, with choice & control. Our Support Workers are:

- Competent - Having the necessary ability, knowledge, or skill to do something successfully.
- Resourceful - Having the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.
- Reliable - Consistently good in quality or performance, able to be trusted.
- Sincere - Free from pretense or deceit; proceeding from genuine feelings.
- Empathetic - Showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of others.

The role will provide IDS's Clients with opportunities for choice, self-advocacy and participation in matters relating to the home as well as facilitating access to community services and facilities.

We are searching for excellent Support Workers who feel their values match the IDS Values
- 2 to 3 years of Disability Support Worker Experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Two relevant and professional reference checks
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Drivers License, your own vehicle and full Comprehensive Insurance
- **Trauma informed care training or experience(Desired)**:

- **Mental Health training or qualification (Desired)**:

- **Autism training or experience for younger kids (Desired)**:

- Manual Handling (Desired)
- Cert III Individual Support (Desired)
- Cert III Disability (Desired)
- Cert III Aged Care (Desired)

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week

**Experience**:

- Disability Support Worker: 2 years (required)
