We’re looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.The Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the field operations team with a focus on dispatching field resources/spare parts, communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining systems/documentation updated and executing minor projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate dispatches of field engineers and spare parts to customer’s sites, primarily in Australia, however this could support other parts of APAC at times.
- Generate scope of work and manage/support field engineers throughout the dispatch cycle
- Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Update documentation and systems
- Execute minor projects and ensure the projects are completed to customer specification, timescale, and project budget
- Monitor spare part levels and coordinate with purchasing team to order replacements.
- Coordinate with 3rd party warehouses to arrange collection, shipping and receiving equipment.
- Communicate effectively within Viasat (Sales and Management), as well as with clients to identify needs and requirements.
- Generate and present reports such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), network availability and Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Work closely with our Sales teams on demand planning and customer project planning
- Work cross-functionally with the customer care team on customer resolution

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in operations and/or project management in the remote communications field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Basic level experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with remote communications systems, such as VSAT, LTE and microwave
- Must have an Australian driver’s license
- Australian Citizen or holder of Australian Permanent Residency Required
- Management and supervision experience is required

**Preferences**:

- A science degree or equivalent
- Technical training in satellite communications
- Hands-on knowledge of onshore and offshore Oil & Gas operations, production, and logistics processes
- Solid understanding of communications technologies, including RF and IP systems
- Must have the ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team
- The ability to travel, if required
