**About Us**:
Blair State School was opened on 26 March 1917. Our school is unique in that it is not named after an area (e.g. Brassall) or a geographical feature (e.g. Yeluba Creek) but rather after Sir James Blair, a former Chief Justice in Queensland and Member of Parliament, who was instrumental in this school being built.
Our students, staff and parents/carers are proud to be associated with this wonderful community school. We share the desire of the community, to provide every child with learning experiences that will enable them to reach their potential academically, socially, culturally, emotionally and physically.
Our school's emblem includes a judge's wig and the scales of justice. Blair's motto is 'Honour above all'.
**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
