About the School Tarampa State School, established in 1880, is situated approximately 35km west of Ipswich and 6km from the township of Lowood. The school services a diverse community of long established rural families and a growing number of families who have moved from the city to a semi-rural setting. We offer an integrated and quality assured curriculum with high quality teaching and learning practices and opportunities. At Tarampa, we recognise that each child is unique and that learning experiences can't be a 'one size fits all". We also recognise that a child's perception of themselves as a person and learner needs to be carefully nurtured. About the Role As Principal, you will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks: - Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. - Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity. - Embed socially just practices in daily school life. - Set high standards for student and staff performance. - Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development. - Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business. - Futures oriented and strategic. - Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling. - Manage resources to achieve goals.
