The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal Divisional Finance Officer (Surgical and Critical Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Collaborate and consult closely with key stakeholders to deliver meaningful budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and reports
- Understand the requirements for policy, systems, processes and culture to operate in an Activity Based Funding environment
- Work collaboratively with divisional management to identify variances and performance issues and develop strategies to manage them
- Raise awareness and monitoring compliance with contracts within the Division

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification such as Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting is highly desirable
- Experience in a healthcare setting in a business / operational environment would be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months with a possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $132 072 - $141 738 per annum

The Division is made up of Divisional Finance Teams, Financial Reporting and Compliance, Financial Performance, Strategic Procurement and Commissioning, Analysis and Reporting unit. This role is based within the Divisional Finance Team
