The Privacy and Data Delivery Team sit within the Bankwest Chief Control Office. We provide outstanding advice and support to support Bankwest to become Australia’s favourite digital bank while driving risk maturity and data and privacy risk management to ensure our colleagues, customers and community are protected.

The Data Management Team are responsible for uplifting data quality and data management practices within Bankwest. You will join a team of Data SMEs who support Bankwest to manage their data end to end to ensure compliance with Group Standards and Frameworks and who design and manage the tools required to support that compliance. We embed best in class Data Management practices and empower the business to achieve customer outcomes while assuring that data risk is within appetite. We aim to operationalize data management risk by strengthening business understanding as the data risk environment continues to mature.

Responsibilities include:

- Championing and supporting Data Quality outcomes for Bankwest
- Support the implementation of data management within Bankwest, ensuring that the Data Management policy suite is entrenched within various data initiatives as well as within BAU activities
- Identify, articulate and manage risks pertaining to Data Management.
- Become an SME in the Data Quality and Data Management tools and reporting owned by the Data Management team
- Act as a trusted advisor to your business area and provide Data Stewardship support, including the end to end management of CDEs

We are interested to hear from people who have:

- Strong passion and understanding of Data Management policies and its implementation.
- Relevant knowledge in data management disciplines such as risk, data quality, business analysis, compliance, audit or policy
- Experience in using SQL, Python and Tableau or comparable product suites.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in data extraction, manipulation and interpretation
- An outcome focused mindset and an innate ability to work with wider and diverse group of stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
