Established in 2007, CDC Data Centres is Australia’s leading operator of sovereign, secure, world-class data centre facilities. Headquartered in Canberra, with campuses across the ACT, NSW, VIC and NZ, CDC is now planning it’s expansion into Western Australia—a move driven by growing demand from the AUKUS alliance and the accelerating need for AI-ready infrastructure.

Our new Perth campus will play a critical role in supporting national defence, intelligence, and hyperscale computing. Backed by major investors including Infratil, Australia’s Future Fund, and the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, CDC is building the digital backbone of Australia’s future.

You will lead a team, manage key vendor relationships, and drive innovation in construction methodologies to support CDC’s rapid expansion.

This role will be instrumental in establishing CDC’s Perth campus, which will feature state-of-the-art facilities designed to support AI workloads at scale, secure office space, and a range of amenities tailored to our customers’ evolving needs.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the delivery of complex data centre construction projects
- Manage contracts, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful outcomes
- Drive innovation in construction techniques, materials, and technologies
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and CDC’s internal governance frameworks
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration from design to handover
- Build and mentor a high-performing construction team aligned with CDC’s values and leadership fundamentals

About you:

- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects (Data Centre or critical infrastructure experience highly desirable)
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of delivering complex builds in high-growth environments
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in mission-critical facilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and contract management skills
- Passionate about innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Essential:

Australian Citizenship and eligibility for AGSVA Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1)
