We are excited to be recruiting a Data Governance & Management role which really stands-out in the market This is a hands-on role focussed on building best-in-class data management and governance with one of Australia's biggest companies In addition, you have a fantastic team and a lot of greenfield work when it comes to establishing the data management and governance framework

**Location**: Perth (Hybrid work, 3 days office + 2 days WFH)

**About the Team and Company**: This is a central data and digital team within one of the largest companies in Australia. They have huge data and care about best practice in customer data management, privacy and building practical, market-leading data governance processes and frameworks.

**What will you be responsible for? **You will be hands-on in implementing the data management and governance framework for the centralised business. This will include leveraging modern tools for data management, finding ways to automate processes, support the build and use of data assets and ensure data quality. This is both a hands-on and consultative role (internal stakeholders) as your work will impact other data teams within their business.

**Who will you work with? **This role will work heavily with technology leadership, risk, security, privacy, data engineering and technology teams, executive leadership and more. Your immediate team includes digital, data and security professionals.

**What experience is required? **Your professional career (4 years minimum) would include data management and data governance in a large business. This would include experience with data management standards and polices such as; DMBOK, CDP or GDPR, ISO27001, CISM, etc.

We are seeking someone with a modern technical approach to data management and governance (as opposed to theory, policy and legal focus) - so it is likely you will have had recent experience with technology and tools such as;
- Collibra or IBM Infosphere or Erwin or Alation or similar.
- Cloud platform experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Azure or AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Any experience with information security and/or cyber security standards (particularly around customer data) and monitoring
