**Security Analyst**

Sonic IT is hiring for the position of Security Analyst in Macquarie Park, NSW. Sonic IT is part of Sonic Healthcare, an ASX listed business and one of the world’s leading healthcare providers. This will be a full-time position with annual remuneration of $75,000 to 100,000 (negotiable depending on skills) on offer.

**Experience necessary**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent employment experience
- Minimum two years' experience working as a Security Analyst
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes, security tools, log and security automation tools

**Duties**
- Work with the team to perform tests to detect network and systems vulnerabilities.
- Manage vulnerability scanner to produce report to the patching team and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Coordinate and manage incident response as part of the incident response team.
- Collaborating with the other IT teams to respond to threats and taking ownership of the project tasks until completion
- Maintain records of incidents, investigations and risk assessment reports
- Writing reports and recommendation on remediation and assist in the deployment, configuration and maintenance of security tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity processes, security tools, log and security automation tools;
- Building key relationships with infrastructure teams, support personnel, internal developers, end-users, and external vendors for effective collaboration and escalation support
- Environments such as Windows, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes;
- Experience working with agile methodologies;
- Development and Security standards such as ISO 27001.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Shift work

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Macquarie Park, NSW 2113: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
