The **Performance Media Lead** is responsible for developing and leading MWU’s performance marketing strategy across Australia and the USA/Rest of World.
Responsible for management of a variety of performance media channels including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and other emerging channels, the individual will also be responsible for the identification of the most appropriate content by platform and region, to lead to profitable first customer acquisition and reducing re-engagement costs - while meeting broader MER expectations.
With a primary performance metric of ROAS, the individual will also be responsible for managing monthly budgets across all channels and the core markets of AU and the USA, which will have key secondary metrics around CAC, retention costs and audience growth.
Of equal importance, is driving awareness within the broader Marketing and Brand team as to the value of each piece of content and working collaboratively to create on-brand, high-performing & unique content that converts.

**Key Responsibilities**
- PERFORMANCE:_
- Build out media buying/budgets for various ad platforms (incl. Facebook, IG, TikTok, Google, Affiliates and Pinterest) and oversee the day-to-day execution of paid media across both AU + USA/Rest of World
- Manage any agency relationships in order to maximise return on outsourced channels (Google + Affiliates)
- Plan, implement and optimise paid social campaigns through offer, copy, and creative testing to drive site traffic, conversions, and revenue with a focus on constant testing and reporting out findings.
- Daily management of paid social campaigns to obtain targeted CPA and growth goals with an absolute focus on ROAS which will vary between region,
- Ensure all paid social activity is localised to the relevant audience - delivered on time, within budget and in support of business goals.
- Work cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals across the organisation, ensuring no opportunities to leverage off existing content creation opportunities are missed.
- Develop a performance strategy that compliments the broader customer retention strategy in order to drive the most efficient spend through lifetime possible
- Leverage all available CRM data sets to drive lower cost-per-lead outcomes - ensuring our CPAs do not exceed CLV.
- Manage ad placements, target the relevant interests and topics and use Google’s in-market audiences for search ads.
- Analyse user behaviour and customer journeys to propose new creative ways for us to engage with our users online, with insights grounded in data.
- Work closely with stakeholders to share funnel conversion improvement ideas, including ways to improve the customer journey post landing on site.
- Provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders, ensuring all teams benefit from learning with paid media channels
- In-depth analysis and reporting out of results across all channels to key stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practice and new technologies.
CONTENT
- Develop and implement a performance content strategy which speaks to content type (Campaign, Testimonial, Lifestyle, UGC, influencer etc), channel, purpose (retention or acquisition), and region.
- Collaborate with the Social + Partnerships team to manage the acquisition of effective content to educate and add value to the MWU audience and attract broader market segments.
- Work closely with our Community functions to ensure we take full advantage of all available & approved user generated content.
- Work closely with our Brand + Campaign team to ensure content always remains “On Brand”.
- Continuous monitoring of online trends and algorithm changes to ensure content creation and edits follow “best in market” expectations.
- Partner with the Social team to support leading on trending content for the business - ensuring we take advantage of all opportunities to drive awareness and ROAS off the back of trending songs, memes, edit types etc.
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share via content, ensuring localisation is key to content requests.
- Monitor competition (content strategy, new products and features etc) and ensure we stay ahead of the pack.
- Measure and report performance of all paid media content that you have played a role in creating, ie how is content created specific for performance out performing content from Campaigns + Social initiatives.
